Had not been to the Polka Dot for a few years, but have been there twice this season. My wife and I both had the cheeseburger mini-meal (both times). Burger was hot, well-dressed and quite tasty. Fries also good. Prices reasonable on the mini-meals. I think the speed of service has improved from what it was in the past. The park-like table area has spots of shade and two creeks flowing through it. I would not hesitate to stop there again.
I love the Polka Dot. The new owners have went above and beyond. As for the others comment about waiting too long it was HIGH SIERRA MUSIC FEST and thousands were in our town and temps were over 103 degrees so ice cream melts fast. ALWAYS they have been pleasant and the BEST ice cream in town. May be a little wait when they get busy, BUT worth the wait!!
Best fast food in Plumas County. You basically build your own burger and they're delicious. New ownership is doing whatever they can to please the customer, including adding espresso to the menu this fall. A great way to finish your day of hiking, biking or boating!
We have patronized the Polka Dot through several changes in management in the last 30 years. The current owners offer delicious food at a fair price, considering the convenience and pleasant environment. Awnings have been installed to shade the order line and there is seating available. A little stream runs through the grassy area near the picnic tables. Food is not fast, but worth the wait. Even if you eat elsewhere, stop by for dessert. You can't beat their $1 baby half-and-half cones.
Price is amazing. Quality ehhhh. But again price is amazing. I did get a banana split and was super disappointed it came in a paper tray typically used for French fries! It was leaking everywhere by the time I got to my truck. Service was really Slow and I was the only one there and still took 14 minutes for 1 banana split. Couldn't get a picture tried to eat it before it melted everywhere.
